Unsere Kinder besuchen die Kirinya Shalom School in einem Vorort der 12 km entfernten Hauptstadt Kampala (circa 1,9 Mio Einwohner). Die Kinder kommen aus den „Kito-Kirinya suburbs in Wakiso district“ (Kito-Kirinya-Vororte im Wakiso-Distrikt). Dies ist eine der bevölkerungsreichsten Regionen Ugandas. Hier leben viele Kinder in großer Armut und Notsituationen, sodass fast 70 % von ihnen als „vulnerable children” eingestuft werden. Das bedeutet, dass sie in hohem Maße schutzbedürftig sind.
Our children attend Kirinya Shalom School in a suburb of the capital Kampala (population approx. 1.9 million), 12 km away. The children come from the Kito-Kirinya suburbs in Wakiso district. This is one of the most densely populated regions in Uganda. Many children here live in extreme poverty and hardship, with almost 70% of them classified as ‘vulnerable children’. This means that they are in great need of protection.
